Magical pre-wedding photoshoot on Charles Bridge & Old Town Square

An empty Prague morning in light rain

If you dream of romantic pre-wedding photos in Prague, nothing compares to an early morning on Charles Bridge and Old Town Square, especially when the city gives you a gift: rain, and no people.

We met before sunrise, when the light was soft. A light rain had just started, creating a moody atmosphere and adding a natural glow to the stone streets. Instead of crowds, we had Charles Bridge entirely to ourselves… a photographer’s dream. My couple walked hand-in-hand across the empty bridge and stopped to admire the view on the river.

Old Town Square without tourists

After the bridge, we continued to Old Town Square, which was also quiet. We could take pictures in front of the Astronomical Clock and the Týn Church.

Why a rainy morning is perfect for a pre-wedding shoot

Many couples worry about rain (and I do too, if I'm being honest!), but it often creates the most atmospheric photos:

  • Soft, flattering light

  • Romantic mood

  • Quiet locations usually full of tourists

  • Unique photos that feel cinematic

Thinking about a pre-wedding photoshoot in Prague?

If you want dreamy, intimate photos in iconic places like Charles Bridge, Old Town Square, or hidden corners of the city, an early morning session is the perfect choice…rain or shine.
